Letters to Max - your second trip out
Dear Max,
We made it to the gynae with you in tow today. Our brilliant idea was to use the infant carrier but it turned out to be really big for little you. We could barely see where your head was when you were in and the entire trip to the office was a constant check to see if you were still breathing and breathing well. Next time round we’re definitely swaddling you and putting you in a pram, if using a car seat is not an option.
To top things off, we had to feed you while you were there, and we didn’t really have the chance to fully burp you. Not even mentioning the logistics involving in trying and testing to see if we could feed you, but we paid for not burping you fully in the next few hours, even while I’m writing this. Gas in little you really throws the rest of our schedule out of whack. If only we had some way of relieving your gas because you just look so painful going through it!
We’re trying a new formula tonight, hopefully that gives some positive results. Honestly at the beginning of today, when I had two relatively smooth feeds with you, I thought, yup, we can do this. Every time you do something different, it makes me wonder gosh, can I really go through with this. If only you came with an instruction manual!
